Corporate and Other Non-Regulated SCANA`s corporate and other businesses, which include SCANA Communications,ServiceCare, SCANA Energy Marketing and the holding company, reported a loss of$3 million, or $.02 per share in the first quarter of 2009, unchanged comparedto the first quarter of 2008. At March 31,2009, SCANA Energy was serving approximately 465,000 customers in Georgia,maintaining its position as the second largest natural gas marketer in thestate. Carolina Gas Transmission Carolina Gas Transmission Corporation reported earnings in the first quarter of2009 of $2 million, or $.02 per share, unchanged compared to the first quarterof 2008. SCANA Energy SCANA Energy, the Company`s retail natural gas marketing business in Georgia,reported earnings of $22 million, or $.18 per share, in the first quarter of2009, compared to $22 million, or $.19 per share, in the first quarter of 2008.This decline in earnings per share is due primarily to dilution. The slight improvement was driven by the implementation of newrates effective in November 2008.
